How good to read straight forward common sense, our history should not be distorted to suit the rather self-serving and historically ignorant wokerati !
Truly reductio ad absurdum in the way the various factions of far-left academics have smeared the memory of this long-dead man for several decades. 2020's act of vandalism amid the imported hysteria from the US shows just how far Britain has succumbed to Frankfurt School indoctrination. I live near Bristol and regardless of what you may read on Twitter and in the MSM, the majority of us were furious at what happened to the statue. We're smart enough to realise that Colston lived in a different time, with laws, habits and ways of thinking that are alien to our modern senses. We also accept Colston broke no laws during his time, and in his own way, tried to better the lives of the people of Bristol. For that, a Victorian gent felt it right to honour him with a statue. It's time for the so-called silent majority (which includes a great deal of non-whites such as myself) to speak out against this cultural vandalism. Put Colston back.
Well written rebuttal of the present social engineering narrative!
